For Employees of Canada Post

How to stand in the law
(because it's on your side)

The paperwork for you to send to Doug Ettinger, President and CEO, who holds the most responsibility in the corporation.

Once you've selected the paperwork that suits your situation best, print it off and fill out the blank spaces.

It's a good idea to have at least 4 copies.
2 originals; one for Mr. Ettinger, one for your records.
2 copies for any supervisors that may approach you.

Write a Cover Letter

We encourage people to create cover letters that are written in their own writing, but we recognize some people don't know where to start - so you may use this sample as a guide. Please do not copy and paste - we want to ensure this isn't 'templated'.

Send by Express Post with Notice of Delivery

Make sure it gets sent directly to Mr. Ettinger. Do not send this to an HR department or to your supervisors. Have the copies for them to review if the matter gets brought up. Be sure to keep a second original (not a photocopy) for yourself

Await Correspondance

Some corporations are responding very positively, even wanting to work with you.

Sometimes, they are resistant. No matter what, we want to help you. Check out the Frequently Asked Questions for more.

Consider Joining the Support Group

We are constantly updating our members with the most up-to-date information and helping them with special situations, even connecting people with legal help where it's needed.
